Activity Overview

Ovarian cancer is the deadliest of all gynecologic cancers in the United States. Despite high response rates to platinum-taxane doublets in patients with localized disease, more than 60% of women are refractory to or experience relapse after this treatment. Because of the lack of effective therapies to treat recurrent ovarian cancer, research to develop more efficacious therapies is desperately needed. In this program, participants will receive the latest clinical trial data for recurrent ovarian cancer in the context of case studies of patients with platinum-sensitive and platinum-resistant, recurrent ovarian cancer. In addition, a panel of experts will discuss major areas of debate, including the optimal duration, sequencing, and combinations of therapy for patients with recurrent ovarian cancer.
