About Local & Regional Activities

The CBCE regional CME/CE programs fall into three categories:

  1. CME/CE speaking engagements are offered at the request of:
    • Regional health care providers
    • Local community hospitals
    • Other health care organizations
  2. Pre-planned regional CME/CE programs include:
    • Regional dinner CME/CE programs
    • Regional lunch CME/CE programs
    • Customized regional CME/CE programs can also be designed and implemented
    • Course materials containing the program slides and annotations can be provided as handouts or CD-ROMs
  3. Telesessions:
    • One-hour telephone and Web conference
    • A distinguished opinion leader will give a 45- to 50-minute presentation on recent clinical or therapeutic advances
    • The presentation is followed by a 10- to 15-minute interactive discussion period

Services provided in support of these programs include: content development, faculty recruitment, faculty training, program planning and execution, and fulfillment of CME/CE credits.

Detailed processes have been established for each core element of the regional program offering to ensure:

  • Relevance and accuracy of content
  • Training and communication with faculty
  • Attention to detail in program execution
