About Local & Regional Activities
The CBCE regional CME/CE programs fall into three categories:
- CME/CE speaking engagements are offered at the request of:
- Regional health care providers
- Local community hospitals
- Other health care organizations
- Pre-planned regional CME/CE programs include:
- Regional dinner CME/CE programs
- Regional lunch CME/CE programs
- Customized regional CME/CE programs can also be designed and implemented
- Course materials containing the program slides and annotations can be provided as handouts or CD-ROMs
- Telesessions:
- One-hour telephone and Web conference
- A distinguished opinion leader will give a 45- to 50-minute presentation on recent clinical or therapeutic advances
- The presentation is followed by a 10- to 15-minute interactive discussion period
Services provided in support of these programs include: content development, faculty recruitment, faculty training, program planning and execution, and fulfillment of CME/CE credits.
Detailed processes have been established for each core element of the regional program offering to ensure:
- Relevance and accuracy of content
- Training and communication with faculty
- Attention to detail in program execution
